Psalms 40:1-3 We are gathered here as a congregation, nevertheless, God is speaking to us as individuals. Yes, I may know that my friends have challenges, still I need God for myself. That’s why our text began with the singular word, “ I ”. It’s me that knows for how long I have been waiting. Even if I cannot speak for others, I can speak for myself. When David said, “ I waited patiently ”, it does not mean he was just idle. No! Waiting time is a time of Praying, Trusting, Believing, Obedience to God’s instructions and promptings in your spirit (giving).
