HELP FROM ABOVE


Help me, O Lord my God: O save me according to thy mercy: That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, Lord, hast done it. Ps 109:26-27

Becoming great in life is a product of help. To move from one level of greatness to another, help is needed (Ps 18:35). If by strength alone, 1 Sam 2:9 says, “no man shall prevail”. To “Help” means “to support”; “to make it easier for someone to achieve a task either by doing it for them, or providing what they need to have the work done”.

There are two (2) broad categories of help: The Human help, and The Divine Help. The human help is limited, while the divine help is unlimited. However, our focus is on Divine help, that is, Help from above. When help from above is at work, human help is inevitable.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.  Ps 121:1-2

In life there are certain places/positions that despite your connections/qualifications/charisma, etc you can’t attain without help from above. With Help from above, even the Stranger can become a Kingmaker.  It is only with men that there are impossibilities. With help from above, The Fugitive can become a Nation; the beggar can even became a Lender; wasted years and efforts can be restored in multiple folds; battles are conquered without any weapons of war; Life’s journey is made sweeter; Little efforts yield amazing success. When Help from above is manifesting, it will be glaring that this is the finger of God.

When God decides to Help, He does at least two (2) things:
He sends Helpers:
“Helpers” make it easier for a task to be accomplished, either by providing you the resources or completely doing the work for you.  God will use helpers to actualize His promises concerning your life.

Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band
 And there fell some of Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle: but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.
As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zilthai, captains of the thousands that were of Manasseh.
And they helped David against the band of the rovers: for they were all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.
 For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God. 1 Chron 12:18-23

The domain of God includes the heaven, earth, and even underneath the earth. Therefore, He can decide to use anything or anyone to help you. God can use Angels, Birds Highly placed individuals, be they Christians or not. I want to say to you that HELP is a daily requirement in life. You need help today more than you needed it yesterday. (1 Chr. 12:22).

He sends His Word
The word of God is powerful. The word of God is God Himself. Whatever God can do, His words can do same. God is a spirit, His sword is Spirit also; God is immortal, His word is forever settled also; God is powerful; His word is powerful as well.

And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying,
Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying,
Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee. 1 Kings 17:2-3, 8-9

The word of God is saying to somebody right now, “The little in your hand that is about to finish will flourish again”. God’s word is forever settled in heaven. “As God liveth in the land of famine, you will enjoy the fatness of the earth”. In John 5:2-9, the man at the pool of Bethsaida was waiting for the moving of the waters, and he waited for 38 years. He was waiting, however, help from above located him. Ps 108:12, “Give us help from above, for vain is the help of man”. You could also be waiting for a major breakthrough in any aspect of your life, receive your miracles in Jesus name. To that fellow confined to a spot by infirmities, by the unction of The Holy Spirit, I say, “Rise up, take up your bed and walk in Jesus name”,

Ps 107:20
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Help from above can really be yours today provided you’re connected to the one who is from above. A thriving relationship with God is all that you need to secure his help. When you become connected to Him, then you are sure that if you call on him in faith out of a pure heart He will surely answer your prayers. If you’re really desperate for a great help, then be ready to cry out loud and clear to God.  Being a true worshipper is very essential to receiving His help in very desperate situations.

When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matt 8:1-3

You are sure of getting God’s attention in worship, particularly true worship. God inhabits in the praise of His people. As a true child of God, He expects your praise and worship at all time. When you praise and worship God, you are making him to find pleasure in your life, and when He finds pleasures with your life, help in all forms will be your lot.

Help from above can be yours today, if only you can ask. Please ask today, and ask from the right source: God Almighty
