Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge
of God, and of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Peter 1:2
Grace and peace are part of the most crucial necessities in
the life of an individual. These are always part of man’s every day need. So,
that you had grace and peace yesterday does not mean you can live without it
today. The first step to enjoying a life
of grace and peace is by acknowledging the God of grace and peace Himself.
However, for you to enjoy grace and peace in multiple fold in all aspects of
your life, the knowledge of God, and of Our Lord Jesus Christ is a fundamental
requirement. The knowledge of He who says, “Peace I leave with; my peace I
give to you”, is your gateway to a life of true and total peace. No
government or national leader can give peace to its citizenry or followers. It
is only by the peace of God that passes all human understanding that you can
live peaceful in these troubled times. Talking about Jesus still, John 1:11,
says, “He is full of grace and truth”.
Therefore, because He is full of grace and truth, it is of His fullness that we
have all received grace, and grace for grace.
Amazingly, many claim to know God, but do not acknowledge His
only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. There are even some religions that hold this
same false belief. They have completely got it all wrong! You cannot continue to enjoy grace and peace
without knowing God, and His son Jesus Christ. The more of Jesus you know, the
more grace and peace is multiplied to you. All that you need to enjoy this life
in a godly manner has already been provided for in the Lord. Jesus Christ.
That’s why Col 2:10 says: We are complete in Him. You know
that all things were made by him, and without Him was not anything made that
was made. Everything and everyone has their root in him. Therefore, if we
neglect Him, at any point, we will become incomplete, no matter how hard we try
to cover ourselves up. Talking about God in Rom. 8:32, Apostle Paul wrote: He
that spared not his son, but offered him up for us all; how shall he not with
him freely give us all things. God has freely given us all things in
this life. Please note again for emphasis: All that you need to enjoy this life
in a godly manner has already been provided for in the Lord. Jesus Christ.
There are so many reasons why you need to know the Lord Jesus
Christ. One of them is because He has called you. I am not talking exclusively
about calling into the ministry; I suppose that’s what you may be thinking. No!
For all of us, God has called us to something greater, which if we are ignorant
of, the enemy will continually exploit us. God has called us to GLORY and
VIRTUE. Glory is beyond what any mortal can perfectly describe. Glory is when
something or somebody manifests to the fullness of their real worth. It also means
shining beauty. On the other hand,
virtue means an attitude of high moral standards; it’s a particular good
quality or habit; it’s an attractive or useful quality. When you have this
thorough knowledge of God, and of the Lord Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit, you
will realize that you have been called to bless humanity. A balance knowledge
of God, and your complete obedience to Him, will bring you into maturity; It’s
all for your good.
