POSSESSING YOUR INHERITANCE

Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.       Deut 2:24

It is very important that you know this: there are inheritances waiting for you at the other side. “Did I hear you say inheritances”, you may ask? Yes! Inheritances. Not one, two, or three; they are more than that. They are yours to claim and to possess. However, this is subject to you obeying what God said in His word. God is saying to you, “Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.       Deut 2:24.
You’re required to do some things before you can actually lay hold on these inheritances  of yours. One of them is that you are to RISE UP.  You have to really rise up. Its not God that will raise you up, not that He can’t do that, however, on this particular occasions, you have to rise up by yourself. There was a time David and his men returned to their homes, by the time they got there, the bible said the enemies had invaded their homes, that is,  Ziklag, and they have taken away their wives, children, and other valuable things.  It was so serious that men of war, valiant men, burst into tears, they began to weep like helpless children. Even David their captain was not left out of the crying session.  These men of war even considered stoning their captain, David. During those times of weeping God said nothing to David. Not long, David realized that weeping won’t solve issues; it never had, and it never will. “So he encouraged himself in the Lord hid GodThen he prayed, asking for God’s direction, and he got His permission to pursue, overtake and to recover all. You have to rise up, and it must be done now!

The next thing you also need to do is to TAKE YOUR JOURNEY. You can’t take your journey when you haven’t risen up. It dosen’t work that way. If you’re not done with the present phase, you can’t jump to the next. As a matter of fact, the next phase won’t surface until you are done with the present phase.  It is when you rise up that you can discover the route that leads to your inheritance, and other necessary things. “Take your journey”, can also mean “take a step”. That means a lot. It could mean, “implement the understanding that is coming to your spirit man”, “work on that vision/inspiration/ideas that is gradually taking a definite shape before you”, “do something about that project that had always caught your attention, “just start right away”. There just have to be a transition, a movement from the present stage to another better stage. This is very important.  The four lepers at the entering of the city gate in Samaria had this understanding, and so they asked themselves in 2 Kings 7:3 “…why sit we here till we die?”   You have to rise up because there’s a journey to embark on, and it is a long journey unto destiny.

Furthermore, you’ll have to pass over some things. God told them in that passage of the scriptures above, “… and pass over this river…” In laying hold on your inheritance, and taking your rightful place, there are so many things you must pass over. You are where you are at the moment because you passed through some things.  Be prepared to pass over people, circumstances, mountains, the flesh, entities, principalities, etc. You’ll pass through some things, and at other times, some things will pass through you. Paul alluded to this when he said in 1 Corinthians 15:32, “I fought with beast at Ephesus”. This is particularly true because, there are somethings that won’t let you pass over them, and because you are determined to pass, you will have to engage them in battle, before they let you pass over. It’s too late already for you to say, “I don’t want to fight”, particularly if you want your inheritance. Let me remind you that, “Life does not give you what you deserve, but what you demand”.
God concluded that verse by saying, “I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle”.
God was so emphatic! He was neither speaking of the past, nor referring to the future; He was speaking about the present.  He said, “I have given into thy hand…”  In other words, all those intimidating “giants” presently occupying your inheritance are already defeated. You’re called to fight a battle whose fate had already been determined, and that is: VICTORY. However, you must go to the battle field and carry the spoils of war. It is these spoils of war that the enemy actually wants to rob you of war. Physically you may wonder, “spoils of war when the battle is not yet fought!”. However, as God is concerned, the battle is already won; the enemies knows that as well hence, you must fight to take what is yours. God’s part is to deliver the land, its inhabitants and all that’s therein to you, your part s to go in and take the spoil. This was exactly what happened in 2 Kings 7:1-20, with the four lepers going to possess what God had already packaged for them.

I encourage to prayerfully follow the steps in this message, so that you can take your rightful place in destiny. See you at the top.

JOURNEY TO GREATER HEIGHTS

And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. Deut. 28:1 There is an height beyond where you are now. No matter how high you have gone, there is still a greater height. Therefore, let your slogan be, “higher everyday”. This is why Jesus keeps calling men upward. He calls from sin to salvation, from salvation to consecration, consecration to Holy Ghost baptism, from HolyGhost baptism to manifesting to manifesting the fruits of the Spirit, and so on, and so forth. Jesus said in John 12:32, “If I be lifted from above the earth, I will draw all men unto myself”. According to the bible text, the individual willing to embark on the journey to greater height must, hearken diligently, and observe to do all instructions rolled out to him or her. Prayers is one of the conditions which anyone prep...

DIVINE PROJECT

Being confident of this, that He who has begun a good work in you, is able to perfect them till the day of the Lord Jesus. (paraphrased) Phil 1:6 Life does not give you what you desire, but what you demand for. This is why most times, it's not the first time that you apply for a visa, job that you were given; it's not the first time that you wrote that exam that you passed. Life answers to the persistent. If you're persistent in your asking, particularly from the right source, you'll be consistent in receiving. Make this declaration boldly, "I AM A DIVINE PROJECT, I WILL NOT BE ABANDONED. In life, nothing starts as a completed task. Project means  to make something new or improve something. It means to make manifest something. However, not all projects eventually becomes what it was intended to be. A divine project is a life or destiny that God wants to use to make a statement to the world. The world is waiting for the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God...
