For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not
to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jer. 29:11
Destiny is not by choice,
it is by decision. Life won’t give you what you deserve, but what you demand
from it based on the revelational knowledge. You place a demand on life based
on the choices you make. At the age of 50, you should be taking responsibilities
for grand generations. If you don’t think, you will stink.
In fact, if you do not take appropriate measures, history will repeat
itself. Today is the harvest of
yesterday’s decision. Decision or indecision produces result, because life does
not operate in vaccum. Nothing moves without a mover; something happened
because someone made it happen. Your destiny is anchored on the picture of your
tomorrow. Life is a product of sight, until you see it, you cannot cease it.
There is need for you to
make a conscious decision not to be a spectator in life, but a player. Therefore,
you need to have a vision. What then is vision? So much has been said about
vision, and even as you are reading this post, so much is being said about the
same word, “vision”. Vision is the picture of a preferable future. Anyone
desiring a great future, needs to have a great vision. It is also important
that you note this: life is a journey.
Life is not driven by credentials, but by potentials. What are potentials?
In a very simple term, potentials are what God has planted on your inside
awaiting your discovery. Your potential(s) is a pointer to your assignment in
life. Your unique potentials is a description of the uniqueness of the
assignment you came to life to execute. The discovery of your uniqueness is the
beginning of your journey to greatness. Therefore as you focus on your
credentials, you must also major on your potentials.
Listed below are some
questions which you are required to provide honest answers to if you want to
achieve greatness in life. Please be sincere with the answers you provide.
What am I passionate
about?
What can I do for free?
If I were free, how would
I spend my day?
What is the most essential
thing for me in life?
What have I done in the
past that is exceptional?
What aspects of life
irritates me?
What aspect of my current
career do I enjoy
What is the most important
thing that I want
What is the burning desire
that I have put off?
Why am I on earth at this
time?
What do I find doing
easily?
What puts smile on my
face?
What sparks creativity in
me?
What do I like talking
about all the time?
What makes me unafraid of life?
What do I regret that I
have not pursued?
What do I think should
exist in this world that is not yet there now?
This questions, though not
exhaustive, are very crucial to your destiny. I, am persuaded that by the time you are through
with providing honest answers to these important questions, your eyes would
have been opened to see what God originally created you to be.
