For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on him, should bot perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
We all lined up on a queue in one of such clinic across the road. The clinic is one of such deficient centres both in terms of facilities and human resources. Those of the female gender who went there had one common request: Abortion, and the clinic seemed to be saying, “I am ever available”. I was on the queue, and it will soon be my turn. My fear was not about killing my unborn child, after all, it wasn’t my first, second or even third time. My real fear was for the world to know that I was pregnant.
I was a sinner with distinction, and totally deaf to all the calls unto purity. Though, I claimed to be a Christian and even attended church services, I wasn’t born again. If my eyes were to close in death now, I can’t guarantee that they will open in paradise. I looked innocent and harmless, but on the inside, it’s a different ball game. The pleasures of sin for me were too good to be abandoned.
Till I was pregnant again, then the message of salvation bore profound meaning to me. I could see my Lord and Saviour on the cross. I knew that I needed to be saved now. Then, I went ahead and surrendered to Jesus Christ, The Love of My Life. I kept the pregnancy and lived with the shame. His faithfulness saw me through. Now I’m back in church, not as a sinner, but as a saint. The joy of salvation has flooded my body, soul and spirit. I am a brand new creature because of the POTTER’S TOUCH.
