It even came to pass; as the trumpeters and singers were as one to make sound to be praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord saying for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever: that even the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord.
I Chronicles 5:14
The cloud of glory is a large mass of an unquantifiable and unique glory. However, clouds do not produce themselves; it is the evaporation of water from the sea that forms it. The cloud of glory appears when high praise is sent to the God of heaven. Be thou exalted oh Lord above all heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth. Ps 57:5 When God is exalted above the heavens, then His glory can be above the earth. This is because He will come to where He is being praised. Thou hath holy, O thou that inhabitest the praise of Isreal. Ps 22:3 He must be exalted above the heavens because II Chronicles 6:18 says, heavens, and even the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him. According to Habakkuk 2:14, a time is coming when the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of God’s glory as waters covers the sea, and I dare to say that time is now. But the hour cometh and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth: for the father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:23-24.
The cloud of glory radiates God’s glory. It appears when God wants to do a special thing, like: announcing the birth of Jesus Christ, giving a special revelation, releasing blessing upon His people and much more. If you want a unique blessing, go ahead and praise Him, for when you do, He raises you. If I be lifted from above the earth, I will draw all men unto myself. John 12:32. The cloud of glory brings a foretaste of glory divine, and it aligns with the song, “heavens came down and glory fills my soul”. You desire a pre-taste of heaven, get on board to praise Him, and let Him soar on the Wings of Your Praise.
God only inhabits the praise of His own people. If you are not His, He can’t inhabits your praise; all you’ll be doing is just making noise to His hearing. However, when you completely surrender your life to Him, then He can inhabit your praise, and you can be guaranteed that He will raise you.
