Treasure(s) is something valuable.Infact, a treasure is a very precious thing. This is why Matt. 6:21 says, "wherever your treasure is,there lies your heart". These treasures, though precious are not found in heaven. The treasures are not only here on earth, but they are found inside vessels on the earth. it is when these vessels on earth releases what they carry that the earth can be blessed. These treasures are in earthen vessels, that is treasures made from the earth. Another word for earth is sand or ground. Gen. 2:8 says, "God formed man from the dust of the ground..." Because we are from the earth, we are therefore earthen vessels. The products from these earthen vessels are to be used to bless the whole earth. The treasures in us are compared to power. Power means ability. As a matter of fact, these treasure(s) is power. God placed the treasures in us so that as we begin to use it, the excellency and glory from it will be accrued to God alone.
There is no one without a treasure. As long as you are human, which makes you an earthen vessel, you have a treasure in you. it is your primary responsibilty to look inward deeply. some of these treasures are manifest, while others are latent. In 11Kings 4:1-7, the prophet's widow once said, "I have nothing", but she remebered, and quickly added, "I have a pot of oil". You have a treasure! There is no controversy about that. If there was no treasure in you, Jesus Christ wouldn't have told you in Luke 19:13, "occupy till i come". He wants you to be occupied with the treasure(s) He has placed in you.Have you seen a vaccum occupying another vaccum. You are not empty. You are meant to occupy the vaccum, because you are to occupy.
Prophet Elisha told the widow, "go and live on the rest, you and your children". That also meant, "live on the rest". Provided you judiciously use the treasure on your inside, it will sustain throughout your life time. Since you are meant to be occupied with the treasure(s) on your inside, don't ever underestimate what you have. Hence, scriptures says, "despise not the days of little begining". Begin to use the treasure(s) right now.
