And that knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Romans 13:11-12
No mortal being was born a giant. However, every mortal being is a prospective giant. Everyone striving to compete with the eagles is a giant in the making. It is unbelievably true that droplets of water metamorphise into a mighty ocean. There must be something responsible for this, and that is its evaporative power. There is in you , dear reader, that which when it metamorphises becomes the real you; that giant caged on your inside.
There is no other time to awake the giant in you, other than now! The anchor scripture says, “now it is high time to awake out of sleep”. It is believed that a man who is sleeping must have accomplished a task that warranted him/her to sleep. What have you accomplished that warrants you to sleep? Ecc. 5:12, says, the sleep of a laboring man is sweet. It is not yet sleeping time, but shining time. Rise and fill your place in destiny.
It is very unfortunate that many lights will never rise, let alone shine till the giant in you is awake. Refusing to awake the giant in you connotes the journey of many destinies to extinctions, because in life destinies are joined together. There are many who will not be accomplished till you have fulfilled your destiny. You will surprise to realize that you have been in a hot embrace with darkness simply because you have refused to awake the giant. To awake the giant in you is to cast off the works of darkness surrounding you, and put on the armour of light.
Perharps, you have been wondering while reading, “a giant in me?” your quest is coming back to you as a question. Have you been to the potter’s house? Do you realize that you are a creature; the handiwork of the creator? The creator who is saying to you, “awake the giant”, must have seen the giant which He kept on your inside in lying in a state of coma. You are definitely not the first to ask this kind of question. Here is the story of a man who also did centuries ago
And there came an angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah that pertaineth unto Joash the abi-ezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the midianites. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valor. Judges 6:12-13
What the angel saw in Gideon is what God also sees in you, not the fearful and timid, but the mighty man of valor! It is not about what you see, but what He sees. Halleluyah! God wondered how a man whom He had so much empowered could still be living below divine standard. Little wonder He said, “thou mighty man of valor”. He also meant, YOU ARE MORE THAN THIS. Despite all of Gideon’s excuses about his predicament, God only saw the sleeping giant. So he said to Gideon, “Go in this might”. The victory in the rest of the story revealed that there was actually a conqueror in that weakling called Gideon. By awakening the giant, he not only conquered the midinaites, he also became a judge in Isreal. Your supports and suggestions will be highly appreciated;they will help us to become better.
